Discovering the Animal Kingdom Through Music!

At our school, we’re delighted to share the fantastic music lessons taking place in Year 1 and Year 2, where young minds are exploring the animal kingdom through sound!

In these lively sessions, our budding musicians have been using a variety of instruments to imitate and represent different animals. From the graceful flutter of a butterfly with the gentle tinkling of chimes to the deep and powerful roar of a lion created by pounding on drums, every sound tells a story!

The children have been learning how dynamic and tempo changes can reflect the movement and energy of each animal. For instance, a speedy cheetah is represented with quick beats, while a slow and deliberate tortoise is echoed with a soft, steady rhythm. This immersive experience not only enhances their musical skills but also deepens their understanding of the creatures that share our planet!

As we watch our students forge connections between sound and the natural world, we can’t help but feel proud of their creativity and enthusiasm!
