Reception

Welcome to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

We have two EYFS Reception classes; Bumblebees class and Dragonflies class.  We encourage children to engage through a balance of adult led and child initiated investigative learning.  Our morning sessions provide opportunities for more structured provision and our afternoons have a free-flow philosophy throughout the setting.

The children have access to indoor and outdoor learning opportunities throughout the day. We utilise the 'achievosaurs' to explicitly develop the Characteristics of Effective Learning within the children. The children engage in a thematic curriculum centred around their interests, learning and development.  The Early Years provides a foundation of knowledge and skills that the children build on, as they transition into Key Stage One. 

Reception will have PE on a Thursday, please ensure all children are wearing the correct uniform.
