Our school council have been busy improving our school environment, as well as helping to develop our behaviour policy. They were also instrumental in the appointment of our deputy head teacher.
Thank you to our school council for all their work to sort out our playground! Hope you enjoy the benches and freshly painted lines!
The play leaders have been trained to deliver a range of different games during dinner times. They receive regular updates to their training from our sports coaches.
Our eco-council have begun to determine our strategy for helping to improve our environment. We are working towards the award of Eco-School status.
The academic leaders, have responsibility for the core subject areas across the curriculum. They work with our T&L leader, Mrs Lowe and with the core subject co-ordinators to plan a range of starter activities that they deliver across the school. They recently planned and delivered girl friendly maths starters in Y5, as this was identified as an area for further development.
The academic leaders were asked to complete a learning walk, focusing on he learning behaviour of the children. They were very perceptive and could confidently talk, firstly to the SLT and then when they fed back to the teachers.
Academic leaders feeding back to the SLT and then to the teachers
A big thank you to Hassan and Fahad Waseem for speaking so eloquently about what it means to be a Muslim, during the Washwood Heath Multi-Academy Trust Grand Iftar. A fantastic and joyous occasion to be part of. Well done boys!
